WARRANTY AND REPAIR INFORMATION

WARRANTY

The watch you purchased on www.genevatimepieces.com is warranted by R&D Luxury S.A. for a period of forty-eight (48) months from the date of purchase under the terms and conditions of this warranty. The international R&D Luxury S.A. warranty covers material and manufacturing defects (“defects”) existing at the time of delivery of the watch purchased on www.genevatimepieces.com (“watch”).

The warranty only comes into force if the watch was originally purchased on www.genevatimepieces.com. If you decide to resell your watch within the warranty period of 2 years, your buyer can still enjoy the full benefits until its expiration 2 years after the original purchase date of the watch. In this case the new owner has to provide the original warranty certificate.

During the warranty period and by presenting the valid warranty certificate, you will have the right to have any defect repaired free of charge. In the event that repairs are improper to restore the normal conditions of use of your watch, R&D Luxury S.A. guarantees its replacement by a watch of identical or similar characteristics of Geneva Timepieces’ collection. The warranty for the replacement watch ends forty-eight (48) months after the date of purchase of the replaced watch.

This manufacturer’s warranty does not cover:

  • normal wear and tear and aging (e.g. scratched crystal; alteration of the color and/or material of non-metallic straps and chains, such as leather, textile, rubber; peeling of the plating);
  • any damage on any part of the watch resulting from abnormal / abusive use, lack of care, negligence, accidents (knocks, dents, crushing, broken crystal, etc.), incorrect use of the watch and non-observance of the use directions provided by R&D Luxury S.A.
  • indirect or consequential damages of any kind resulting from e.g. the use, the non-functioning, the defects or the inaccuracy of the watch;
  • the watch handled by non-authorized persons (services or repairs) or which has been altered in its original condition beyond R&D Luxury S.A.’s control.
  • any defects resulting from actions carried out anywhere other than the R&D Luxury Repair Center are not covered by this guarantee and will render it null and void.

Any further claim against R&D Luxury S.A. e.g. for damages additional to the above described warranty is expressly excluded, except mandatory statutory rights the purchaser may have against the manufacturer.

General conditions and restrictions:

This guarantee automatically cancels and replaces all other guarantees incorporated in national legislation, including the implied warranty of merchantability. Certain local regulations may forbid the exclusion or limitation of accessory or indirect damages, in which case the limitation or exclusion of the above-mentioned guarantee does not apply. This guarantee gives you specific rights and local regulations that vary between countries may give you others. Only R&D Luxury S.A and its official service center are entitled to decide to repair or perform any other action concerning a watch covered by this international guarantee.

 

SHIPPING CHECKLIST AND REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS

Please follow all the steps below in sending us your damaged watch that is warranted by GenevaTimepieces.com 

  1. Send email to repaircenter@genevatimepieces.com with the order confirmation number we sent you after your purchase.
  2. Send your watch via insured or registered mail with sufficient insurance to cover the original purchase price and a tracking number to

  • Please make sure your complete name and address including ZIP Code (where you would like the product to be sent back to) appears on the package.
  • Also include this information inside the package along with phone number and email address.
  • Enclose an explanation of the nature of the problem so that the correct repairs will be made.
  • Include the timepiece for repair.
  • Enclose R&D Luxury’s original international warranty certificate. Failure to include proof of purchase or warranty paper will result in non-warranty repair costs.
  • Pack the watch securely in the original watch box to avoid damage in transit

   IF STILL UNDER WARRANTY:

   After we have successfully repaired your watch it will be sent back to you at no additional cost.

   IF YOUR ITEM IS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY:

   If the two year warranty has expired before we receive your watch in our Repair Center, watch repair and shipping costs will be issued to you through email notification.
   After we have received your payment the watch will be sent back to the stated address immediately.

   Quotes will be provided via e-mail or phone when the repair charges exceed CHF 100.

 

Please be aware that R&D Luxury S.A. is not responsible for any impact/shipping damage or lost items that may occur during transit.
